An Employee Director at Dieng Multimedia Nusantara Internet (DiMENSi), local Wireless Internet Service Provider and Director at PT Lintas Langit Nusantara, VSAT Provider for Internet Access in rural area. Previous work experience as Network Administrator at Internet Laboratory, National Institute of Technology Malang (known as ITN) and Widya Caraka Nusantara Foundation (known as YWCN) a subsidairy research program under Asian Internet Interconnection Initiative (AI3) Bandung Institute of Technology (known as ITB).

Working Experiences

(2007 – Present) Vice Chairman (Deputy) at Indonesia Security Incident Response Team on Internet Infrastructure (ID-SIRTII) a government agency under Directorate General Post and Telecommunication (DGPT, known as Ditjen Postel), Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (known as Depkominfo). ID-SIRTII conducting 7 (seven) main tasks, which are:

(i) promoting security awareness;
(ii) monitoring internet traffic as a part of incident handling management practices;
(iii) managing log files for law enforcement purposes;
(iv) developing simulation laboratory related to internet security studies and R&D;
(v) conduct collaboration with related international communities;
(vi) provide the main stakeholders with technical assistance;
and (viii) form national help desk system for information security enquiries.

As the Deputy of Chairman i am responsible to maintain daily operation, monitoring internet traffic (IPS sensor), collecting log file, managing data center, simulation labs and contact center. Directing national collaboration and coordination between ISP’s, NAP’s, Telecommunication Provider, Internet Cafe’s / Hot Spot’s / Public Internet Access, Academic Institution and others CERT’s and CSIRT’s innitiatives to ensure internet security in Indonesia.

(2005 – Present) Volunteer at AirPutih Foundation, establishing IT Emergency Response Team for natural disaster situations. Joining rehabilitation and reconstruction programs for Aceh and Nias after Earth Quake and Tsunami disaster. Supporting many NGO’s and government programs (disaster early warning disemination, IT emergency response relief, IT and open source training) after disaster in Aceh Tamiang (flood – 2006), Jogja (eartquake – 2006), Pangandaran (tsunami – 2006), Bengkulu (earthquake – 2007), Central Java and East Java (flood – 2007).

(2007) Business Development Consultant at PT MyIndo Cyber Media a Web Design and Information Technology Consultant company at Jakarta.

(2003 – 2006) Director at PT Lintas Langit Nusantara, my own VSAT Solution Provider. I left this company to my associates in the middle of 2005 due my social contribution as volunteer to Aceh – Nias recovery program. And then i was moved to Jakarta.

(2001 – 2004) Director at Dieng Multimedia Nusantara Internet (DiMENSi), a local wireless Internet Service Provider in Malang. Setting up from the first time, all of Internet Service Providers network and basic service including wireless and VSAT infrastructure, etceteras.

(1998 – 2001) Network Administrator at Internet Laboratory, National Institute of Technology Malang. Build our Campus Internet Laboratory from the first time. Designing network topology, projecting capacity planning and various of services. Implementing workgroup application and education process management and collaboration systems. Field research and development on e-learning, e-education and distance learning systems and converting academic materials into digital format with the distributions systems, etceteras.

(1997 – 1998) System Support and Network Administrator at Widya Caraka Nusantara Foundation in addition of research program with Asian Internet Interconnection Initiatives (AI3) and Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). The job description is to design and assist wireless network deployment and connecting LAN to the Internet at client site. Most of our clients was an education institutions with minimum experience in computer networking and Internet. Gained many achievements, including (but not limited) mapping national Intranet and Internet Education network, clears-up and make a better structured LAN, standardizing software and hardware used in the company, opening Internet access to the staff that needs it by setting up a firewall.

(1990 – 1998) Self employee in computer whole services and trading business. I left this business to my associates in a late of 1997 and joining new local Internet Service Provider company. This business still continue at this moment.

(1993 – 1995) Senior Technicians at CV. Tunas Artha Pratama. Was working while studying in ITN, but still able to maintain high work standard. The job description is to design and assist computer network deployment at client site. In the middle of 1995 leaving the company to continue study and maintaining my own company at home.

(1990 – 1998) Starting my own small computer retail company (CV Tiga Mitra Cemerlang). It also provide computer rental and Internet cafe services.

One Year Diploma degree in Basic Computer Programming from Brawijaya University (Malang, Indonesia) with final assignment project titled “Personal Library Software with Pascal Programming Language” (1991). Course includes : Programming Language (Basic, Pascal, Fortran, Cobol, dBase, Assembly, Macro Lotus 123) with minor Computer Technology Science.

IT Skills

At present time working as volunteer with AirPutih Foundation in many project for Aceh and Nias such as Pre Wimax Infrastructure donated by Alvarion and Intel Corp. Planning to deploy Fibre Optic Infrastructure from Medan to Meulaboh for over 800 km with Telco Relief International GMSL and Intel Corp. We support many NGO’s relief and reconstruction program and working with government. Designing and implementing Wireless, VSAT and VOIP infrastructure in Aceh and Nias. Designing Inter City Microwave Link and WiMAX implementation.
